Note from your costumer!

Hello cast and families of Bye Bye Birdie! My name is Avery McGinnis and I am doing costume design for the show. I am very excited and look forward to working with your kids! As you can probably imagine, doing costumes for this size of a show will be difficult and I appreciate any help that you would like to offer! If you can sew, glue or bedazzle we would love to use your help! Also, if you have any 50s style clothing you would like to either donate or lend to us we would be so appreciative! Please get back to us if you would like to get on the volunteer email list so we can use your expertise!

Coming Along!

Rehearsals are going great! Our characters are coming to life and the teens are working hard! Last week was spent learning choreography. The choreographers, Barbara & Rachel, have created some amazing things for this show and the kids are rising to meet their expectations!

While the teens are not learning a number (if they aren't in it, etc), then they are working on music with Katie, or character work with Michelle or Laura.

Behind the scenes, things are moving along. The set has been finalized and our wonderfully amazing set people are working hard on bringing it to reality. Diana has been begging, borrowing and thinking creatively for props & Avery has been brainstorming and obtaining some of the most awesome costumes I have scene for this show. :)

Tanya, our stage manager, has been keeping everyone on track and organized each night.

We are going through the volunteer sheets this week and will be contacting people soon! If you have not filled one out yet and want to, please contact Diana asap. For information on what we need, please see the volunteer page!

So It Begins!

Auditions, callbacks & casting are done!

Now is it time to start working towards making this production of "Bye Bye Birdie", the best this area has seen. All the staff involved are super excited and honored to be working with such a talented group of teens.

This is the first year we are trying out blogging, so, please be patient while we figure things out. We hope this will be a good way to get information to cast members, parents and family regarding this production: Rehearsals, changes, volunteer information, assistance, and more.
